Good Morning Foodies!
Two weeks ago my wife and son and I went on a day trip for spring break down to Cincinnati to a place called the Creation Museum. On the way back, we thought we would try something a bit different adn stray from our normal Mickey D’s of BK and have an authentic German dinner. The first picture is of the quaint little restaurant. I don’t remember the name of the restaurant, but Bier was in it, and Bier we had. And a sandwich that deserves its own post!
My wife ordered a chicken-Germany-sounding dish that looked absolutely incredible, which she confirmed immediately. My son ordered his standard cheeseburger and fries and I thought I did the same. When my “cheeseburger” arrived, I was a bit taken aback. Here is what I saw.
This is about a half pound of ground beef, topped with an entire six inch link of polish sausage, topped with at least a cup of sauerkraut, all topped off with about a half pound of Swiss cheese! This was not a cheeseburger; it was a force of nature! I actually could start feeling myself being pulled into its gravitational field.
Nonetheless, I did my best to get my hands around it and was able to put down about half of it. The rest was a delightful warm up meal when we got home late that night.
Just beware, when you order a cheeseburger at a German restaurant, make sure you speak the language!
Until next time, remember; Don’t forget to taste!
